So how good do the Swiffer mops with wet pads clean floors? My caregiver used the one I bought the other day, and now I thought I would mop with it. Does it make floors look good?
Yes it does--use that all the time myself.
This must be personal preference, because I don't care for them. I like the idea, but the detergent in them leaves a residue I don't like. I used to use the Swiffer wet jet but now I use a Swiffer mop designed for the wet pads, but I use my own detergent and pads.
Also, back when I had better vision, we used these for a group of kids learning to clean and at the end of a few weeks, I got down on hands and knees and scrubbed the same floor they had been cleaning multiple times daily with Swiffer and I couldn't believe how black the cloths I was using got.
I like 'em. Beats the old days of mop and bucket.
Beats the mop and bucket for sure. I find that Swiffer cleans my floors pretty damn good, especially if I clean them every few days.
I have used them and my friend used those spunge mops. They look good from a distance.
Fine for spot cleaning but not for detail cleaning.
I have a steam mop that works the same way and works better than the mop and bucket idea.
The map with the pads is better than nothing but you are going to want to get down and scrub or do something a bit more detailed every week or two.
As for my steam mop.
I have a shark pocket mop. You can flip it over and use the other side making it last a bit longer. Toss the cover in the wash to clean it and go at it again the next time.
You fill it up with water, plug it in and wait a few seconds for it to heat up.
Pump the handle about a dozen times then like your mop, run it all over.
As you push forward, the handle pushes in to itself and releases steam in to the pad that then helps cleans.

swiffer wetjets clean just fine, and is better than standard mopping. standard mopping you just push bacteria around since the mop head is the same, and it keeps bacteria. My floors are great with a swiffer wetjet.
Wet swiffer mops are a waste of money, and leaves residue on your floors. Water and
some good cleaner works just fine if you know what the world you are doing. Now the
dry pads are amazing, and probably one of the best inventions out there. They get all
of the dust, you're able to touch up on your floors after the mopping session, etc.
my floors don't get sticky. I think its a matter of being careful which solution you get, and not using to much of it.
